Located in historic Waltham, Massachusetts, on Moody Street — newly dubbed “Restaurant Row” — Gemelli is a charming restaurant that brings a taste of several different regions of Italy.
John and Iledna Gemelli’s influence comes from their annual trips to Italy, most recently their study at the Culinary Institute of Florence. Their southern Italian influence comes from John’s maternal grandmother, Vincenzina, who brought her recipes from a small town called Castellonorato, located between Naples and Rome and from his father, Giovanni, who was born in Messina, Sicily, and was a great chef in his own right. His traditional recipes have brought many years of culinary enjoyment to both family and friends.
We are also proud to serve one of the area’s finest selections of gourmet pizza. Conceived in the traditional Neapolitan style, our brick oven pizzas are prepared from the finest and freshest ingredients available to us daily.
It is our hope that good food and great service will meet your expectations.
Thank you for allowing us to have the pleasure of serving you.
Buon Appettito!
